The course consists of two classes: Snowshoeing and Nordic Skiing. This series of four lectures will include an orientation, registration, avalanche awareness and safety, the ten essentials, back-country winter travel etiquette, cold weather ailments, clothing, and equipment. The course fee is $35 for non-members. To take both courses, requiring both field trips, will require an additional $15. Conservation
The hallmark of the Mountaineers is conservation and stewardship. Join the Olympia branch on a trail maintenance work party. Day trips are typically offered in the Olympic National Forest and Mt. Rainier National Park.
Singles
Social activities are organized for the enjoyment of all adults. Participating in activities provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy our Northwest outdoors, while getting acquainted with people who have similar interests.
Singles Coordinator: Linda Hayes
